The easiest way to get into the IT industry

Nowadays a lot of people are faced with the problem of finding a new job or changing the field of their activity. The IT industry is one of the most stable in the Ukrainian market. First of all, this is because most of the clients are foreign and all you need is your laptop to work from anywhere in the world. The work schedule is usually flexible, so you can either work for 1 hour a day or work overtime.

We are going to tell you about the easiest way to get into the IT industry: what skills you need to have and what to start with.

Let us start with the specialties to change the field of activity, i.e. you have working experience in a similar position, but not in the IT industry.

So what is the job of an office manager in an IT company:

  • Organization of office logistics
  • Work with various external services (repair services, delivery, mail, etc.)

  • Personnel documentation
  • Ability to make the office a cozy and comfortable place to work in

If you have already worked in a similar position in another field, you can easily switch to IT. The only drawback is that this is office work, so the firm’s office should function and at least some employees should work in it.

Marketer

IT marketing is significantly different from other areas, although the main principles remain the same. It may not seem like time for advertising, but once again we are here to emphasize that clients of IT companies are abroad. If we want companies to be stable, to have enough work, not only must we not disappear from the infospace, but also we should continue searching for new markets and clients. Even though all communication in IT is in English, it is possible to work with translators or English copywriters. However, at least a B1 level of English is required.

There are many disputes about the responsibilities of the marketer. From the opinion that he has to be a one man band right up to the assertions that he has to work well in only one direction.

The course should include not only theory, but also practical cases as these 2 components differ a lot. Nowadays a lot of educational platforms provide free access to courses for Ukrainians.
